Assam trounced Orissa by 10 wickets on the last day of their East Zone Vijay Merchant Trophy under-16 cricket match at Goalpara in Guwahati today. Resuming their second innings at 51 for eight, Orissa were skittled out for 52. Chasing a small target of 27 runs, Assam clinched victory in 6.1 overs with all 10 wickets intact. The huge win fetched Assam six points, while Orissa drew blank.
